What is a fake Instagram generator?
A fake Instagram generator is a design tool for fictional social concepts — feed posts, Stories, profile pages, comment threads, DMs and sponsored-ad previews — without posting anything on the app. FakeXPost keeps the core generator free in the browser, with no signup or credits required for standard 2× PNG exports.
People use it for campaign planning, disclosed parody, video storyboards, app concepts, media-literacy lessons and brand presentations. Every export carries a clear authenticity label so the intended context travels with it.
How to make a fake Instagram screenshot
- 1Pick a tool above — Post, Stories, Profile, Comments, DM or Ad.
- 2Set an invented username, profile picture and caption; optional badge controls start off.
- 3Drop in your image, set engagement counts (likes, comments, followers).
- 4Toggle between light and dark mode and switch between Mobile and Desktop preview.
- 5Confirm responsible use, then download a labeled standard 2× PNG.
Use it responsibly
Fake screenshots are a fun creative tool, but they can be misused. Don't use FakeXPost to harass anyone, fabricate evidence, defraud people, or impersonate real humans in harmful ways. Make memes, not lawsuits.
Frequently asked questions
Is the FakeXPost Instagram generator really free?+
Yes. Every live Instagram tool and the standard 2× PNG export are free without signup. Every export includes a fictional-mockup authenticity label. Optional paid access adds 4× resolution and JPG, with WebP available in compatible browsers.
What are the Instagram mockups designed for?+
The familiar layouts help teams review feed posts, Stories, profile grids, comment threads and ad concepts for campaigns, lessons and client presentations. The exported image is labeled as a fictional mockup.
Can I make a fake Instagram profile page?+
Yep — pick the Profile tool above. Set the bio, follower counts, highlights and posts grid, then download a clearly labeled PNG.
Do you store my captions or images?+
Nope. The whole tool runs locally in your browser. Your text and uploaded images never touch our servers.
Can I use these for pranks or content?+
Use them for disclosed parody, campaign previews, reels, lessons, app concepts and fictional dialogue. Do not present a mockup as authentic evidence or use it to defraud, defame, impersonate or harm anyone.
